L, Age 40: Depression is always diagnosed as a "chemical imbalance", however no one explained
to me how the imbalance occurs. I suffered from depression and anxiety for years. Recently I began eating Macrobiotically.
I no longer have the dark bouts of depression. I occasionally suffer from the anxiety attacks, but they are few and manageable.
I've learned which foods contribute to my problems and make different choices.

Survivor Stories:
On January 1,
2003, my mother found out that she had breast cancer, I immediately called my aunt. Five years prior she had been diagnosed
with stage 4 lymphoma and given less than 12 months to live. She researched alternatie treatments and discovered the macrobiotic
diet. Today she is completely healthy and cancer free. She recommended the same diet to my mother. My mother had a lumpectomy
and radion, but turned down 5 year of Tamoxifen drug treatment, and also went on the macrobiotic diet. Today she feels
great. In following the macrobiotic diet she eliminated eggs, dairy, refined sugars and flours, hydrogentated oils,
processed foods, additives, artifical colorings and preservatives, and animal products As her health improved she wanted
to add occasional desserts to her diet, so she started to bake bars, cookies, bronies, cakes and pies followig macrobiotic
criteria. When I tasted them, I couldn't believe how delicious they were. This was the beginning of Macrotreats.
The macrobiotic diet is a healthy diet which can be helpful in treating a wide range of health problems such as cancer
and obesity, as well as beneficial to anybody looking for a healthy lifestyle. The diet originate in the Orient and has been
followed by many people for thousands of years. Today, Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Barbra Streisand, John Travolta, and Nicole
Kidman are just some of the celebrities that are on this diet. Wishing you a long and great life!
